{Yuletide Youtubers} This weeks recommended horror Youtube Channels. (Week Ending 18th December 2020)

Yuletide Youtubers

All December long I’ve been celebrating the festive season by bringing you some video treats. While I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts for my weekly instalments of Sound Bites, I also enjoy watching YouTube videos and wanted to praise some of the channels that always bring me joy. These superstars are Yuletide YouTubers!

Let’s start with some real-life paranormal investigators called Para-Holix. Based out of Houston, TX, this group is always entertaining, but what I really enjoy is that they take the time to explain their experiments and evidence. Team member Shaggy is also known as ‘Archie DeBunker’ with a reputation of debunking potential ghostly encounters. Here’s one clip of Shaggy doing just that with a piece of audio caught during an investigation.

There are loads of talented filmmakers in the horror scene and one channel that always delivers awesome short frights is ALTER. They release 3 new horror shorts every week with most running 20 minutes or less. “The Dollmaker” directed by Al Lougher has been one of my favourites, about the psychological horror of grief over losing a child.

This last one is a fun animated horror short from JoBlo Movie Trailers. While I found the movie The Predator (2018) very disappointing, this short film used to promote the movie called ‘Predator vs. Santa’ is awesome. If you’re a fan of Robot Chicken, you’ll love this one.

Thanks for joining me through December for Yuletide YouTubers!

I’m off now to hibernate in a dark, spooky cave (aka my basement) for the rest of the year. But I’ll be back in January to bring you more podcast and YouTube channel recommendations on Sound Bites.

No matter how you celebrate the end of 2020, I wish you a peaceful time and hope that the New Year keeps you safe, healthy, and happy.

My podcast recommendations on Sound Bites will resume in January, so please feel free to keep sending me suggestions. If you run a YouTube channel for anything horror related, get in touch too as I’ll be incorporating videos into my Sound Bites posts in the new year. Contact me via the comments section below, or direct messaging on Twitter or Instagram (links below). I can’t promise I’ll enjoy everything you throw my way, but I’ll give everyone a fair shot.
