The latest book by Brian Fatah Steele, CELESTIAL SEEPAGE is out TODAY (Oct. 18th) from Alien Agenda Press.
Harper didn’t want to leave the library to take the temporary position at the Historical Society. There was something unsettling about the place, something sinister. She had no idea her presence there was about to trigger the escape of monstrous entities from a higher dimension, ones imprisoned there by their own kind decades ago.
Facing primordial horrors, Harper and her friends realize there have been alien gods in their midst all along, some closer than they ever could’ve believed. Together, they must stop a cataclysm that even gods can’t walk away from.
Brian Fatah Steele has written numerous published stories and titles in the cosmic horror, urban fantasy, and science fiction realms, receiving high praise for his unique blend of terror and strange. Celestial Seepage is no different in its attempt to unnerve you.
To celebrate this new release Brian has kindly shared his favourite Youtube horror channels.
TOP 10 HORROR CHANNELS ON YOUTUBE
As Chosen By Brian Fatah Steele
If you’re looking for your horror fix this season, and you’ve already burned your way through all the streaming services, try wandering over to YouTube. I waste way too much time over there thanks to my girlfriend, and I’ve found tons of horror content. Sure, some of it is terrible, but some channels I’ve spent hours consuming. Here’s what I consider to be the ten best.
#01. FOUNDFLIX
An in-depth analysis of a variety of horror movies, commercial and independent, new and old. Quirky host Chris Dandridge has an encyclopedic knowledge of the genre, as well as a great appreciation of the art of film making. His reviews are fair, funny, and insightful. While he’ll hit the big releases when they come out, you never know what random older flick he’ll tackle in the weeks between.
#02. DEAD MEAT
Dead Meat is best known for its segment called “The Kill Count,” a goofy, short review where host James A. Janisse humorously covers the movies and all the ways the victims die. He also hosts an hour-long podcast with his fiancée Chelsea Rebecca where they discuss topics like The Final Girl, Horror Movie Gimmicks, Childhood Fears, and Cursed Films. Casual and fun, Dead Meat is the most popular horror channel on YouTube.
#03. MR. NIGHTMARE
Here you find a channel wonderfully narrated, with supposedly true stories told as you might find in a CreepyPasta or/nosleep. The voice is merged with static images, the three to four tales per video always realistic enough for you to believe that at least one of them might be true. There are many of these types of channels on YouTube, but this one is easily the best.
#04. TOP 5 SCARY
British hosts Jack and Lucy give horror fans a tour into all things horror, from movies and fiction, into history and mythology. Well-educated in anything terrifying and bloody, they present lists on Friday the 13th, Spanish Urban Legends, Lovecraftian Monsters, Haunted Places in West Virginia, and everything else you can think of. The videos are relatively short, but incredibly well researched.
#05. ADAM CESARE (PROJECT: BLACK T-SHIRT)
Author Adam Cesare runs this channel, one that superbly blends the horror genre together for fans. In many videos, after hosting a movie review, he then gives a book review, one he feels matches the movie in theme and genre, hoping the viewers might be open to reading that title. It’s a fantastic idea, one I fully support. He also does other book reviews, top fives, and unboxings.
#06. SPOOKY RICE
This channel will not be for everyone. The host openly states he was directly inspired by Dead Meat and FoundFlix, but instead of reviewing traditional horror, “Spooky” covers the most disturbing movies ever made. A Serbian Film, Salo, The Bunny Game, I Spit On Your Grave, Cannibal Holocaust, August Underground, etc. Spooky himself finds a lot of these movies to be unpalatable and doesn’t hesitate to say so.
#07. BRIEF CASE
A wonderfully done True Crime series from the United Kingdom, each short piece executed in a similar manner to make all the videos succinct and digestible. Historical tales of murder, seduction, betrayal, rage, and greed are all clearly laid out from beginning to end. If you’re looking for something truly real, this is the place.
#08. SPOOKY ASTRONAUTS
Emma from Australia is the host of Spooky Astronauts, which is part movie review and part editorial channel. Along with discussing a variety of movies, she also talks about various topics concerning horror. On multiple occasions, she has gone to multiple social media outlets to conduct extensive polls, revealing the numbers in a very transparent fashion before tallying them up.
#09. BUZZFEED UNSOLVED
While it’s a more commercial channel, each episode of Unsolved is captivating and hysterical. Host Ryan believes in everything and is in a constant state of terror, while co-host Shane is a skeptic and spend every minute mocking his friend. Episodes go back and forth between True Crime and Supernatural investigations, all of the tension cut with the trademark humor of the boys.
#10. CHILLS
Unfortunately, while the host Dylan has the worst narration voice ever, he does manage to track down the best clips. Each video is comprised of multiple short segments, clips of horrifying things happening. Sometimes they’re normal, everyday things caught on camera, and sometimes we get glimpses of what might be the supernatural. The imagery is always shocking, and Chills might be higher on the list if it wasn’t for Dylan’s stupid voice.

Brian Fatah Steele
Brian Fatah Steele has been writing various types of dark fiction for over ten years, from horror to urban fantasy and science fiction. Growing up hooked on comic books and monster movies, his work gravitates towards anything imaginative and dynamic. Steele originally went to school for fine arts but finds himself far more fulfilled now by storytelling.
His work has appeared in such anthologies as 4POCALYPSE, BLOOD TYPE, CTHULHU LIES DREAMING, DEATH’S REALM, THE IDOLATERS OF CTHULHU, and the Bram Stoker Award-nominated DARK VISIONS, VOL.1. His own titles include BLEED AWAY THE SKY (Bloodshot Books) and THERE IS DARKNESS IN EVERY ROOM (Sinister Grin Press), along with the self-published YOUR ARMS AROUND ENTROPY, BRUTAL STARLIGHT, FURTHER THAN FATE, and IN BLEED COUNTRY.
Steele lives in Ohio with a few cats and survives on a diet of coffee and cigarettes. He spends his time still dabbling in visual art, vowing to fix up his house, acting as a part-time chaos entity, spending too many hours watching television, and probably working on his next writing project.
Praise for Brian Fatah Steele
“A mighty solid read, one that feels heavily influenced by Clive Barker and features a welcome dose of Girl Power throughout.” – High Fever Books on Bleed Away the Sky
“A stellar collection of terror dancing with the strange.” – Michelle Garza, co-author of Mayan Blue on Your Arms Around Entropy
“While Steele mixes in enough ‘traditional’ alien elements, he also injects a special blend of evil and madness that creates a unique and oftentimes bleak cosmic horror piece.” – The Horror Bookshelf on There is Darkness in Every Room
