{Feature} Kendall Reviews Presents Steve Stred’s Books From The Crypt 7

Do you worry that you’re not read?

Well, along comes Stred

Soon your spine will crack

And your story will be saved

Extraordinary plots

With extraordinary deaths

Bonus points if anyone realized that was to the tune of Superman’s Dead by Our Lady Peace. I figured it was fitting to reference a band with that name based off of the first book I have featured in THIS… BOOKS FROM THE CRYPT SEEEEVVVVEEEENNNNNN!!!!

(Quick refresher – BFtC features three reads you need to have in your TBR that have 50 or less Goodread reviews. Got it? Good!)

Our Lady of the Trampled Beast – BP Gregory.

Originally released September 2019

I’m a big fan of Gregory’s dark fiction and this one is a quick, brutal read. You’ll want to dive in and find out what happens in those woods.

KR: ‘Our Lady…’ is available in B.P. Gregory’s fantastic short story collection Vu Ja De

RUSSKI DREAD: A Collection of Short Horror Stories Set in Russia – Artyom Dereschuk.

Released Oct 26, 2019

I discovered Dereschuk’s work with Master of the Forest and when he reached out on Goodreads to ask if I’d be keen to give this a go, I agreed instantly. A really solid collection of dark Russian stories.

The Portable Horrors of C.J. Bow – C.J. Bow.

Released October 8, 2018

Absolutely stunning collection that needs to be read simply to discover the story ‘The Bone Clown.’ I loved all of these tales and I’m so happy C.J. updated the cover and released it!
