“Books are a funny thing
They make all readers sing
Bound by wild storytelling
I love a book with a brutal ending”
Ah…. Sincerest apologies to Mr. Johnny Cash for that desecration.
Anyways, column four! Holy hell. Here already!
What the hell is Books From the Crypt?
BFtC is me telling you to discover three books that I read and enjoyed. The only caveat – they have less than 50 ratings on Goodreads at the time of me writing this.
I hope the previous three columns have helped you discover some awesome works. I’ve mentioned horror, sci-fi/horror mashups and even a fantasy book. This month, three more golden reads!

Artemis One-Zero-Five – Christopher Henderson
Release date April 30, 2018
I’m a big fan of well-done horror/sci-fi stories and Henderson brings a really great take in ‘Artemis One-Zero-Five.’ We get some fantastic storytelling, a dark world and some great gore. Perfecto!

Save Game – Joseph Sale
Released November 1, 2019
In a previous column, I recommended Joseph Sale’s stunning ‘Gods of the Black Gates.’ ‘Save Game’ is another release that I wish more people would read. Centered on a young man who tries to save his dad who is fighting a new form of Cancer. This was a stunning read, filled with great worlds and tons of emotion.

Breaking the Habit – Yolanda Sfetsos
Released July 26, 2019
Demain’s Short! Sharp! Shocks! Series has produced some amazing novellas since it was launched. One
of the first I read was ‘Breaking the Habit’ by Sfetsos and it was fantastic. Vacation at a cabin, what could
go wrong? Lots! Especially when a past comes roaring into the present.

There you go! Three more books to put in your eye holes!
Join me again next month for another attempt at hijacking lyrics and three more great reads!
