Steve Stred’s Books From The Crypt 14
So, we’ve survived the first thirteen of these somehow and here we are at number fourteen.
Three more books.
Three more outstanding stories that need to be read, but for some reason haven’t hit 50 Goodreads ratings yet. I hope these editions of this series have helped.
First – another book haiku!
Reading is pleasure.
Not reading is painful, yes?
We need to read more.
Here we go!
The Blood Beast Mutations – Carl John Lee.
Originally Published May 2020.
This was an unexpected delight! A debut novella from an author who seems to stay off social media. Is it overtly political? Yes. Overtly violent? Yes. Engaging and pulse-pounding? Absolutely! Carl John Lee wrote one of the few ‘current-times’ Pandemic books that I read and loved! This was great.

Hungry Rain – Brian Fatah Steele.
Originally Published May 2020.
I have constantly shouted that Brian Fatah Steele has one of the most imaginative minds out there. With ‘Hungry Rain’ it’s one of his most centred and focused pieces as it’s predominantly a straightforward creature feature. We get a fun survival story and an intriguing arrival. What more do you want? Tons of fun and many, many more people need to get on this.

Our Biggest Fears – Bo Chappell.
Originally Published June 2020.
Bo never fails to deliver. With ‘Our Biggest Fears’ we get a stellar home-invasion story that is thrown on its head. Chappell writes dark and brutal so sublimely. At times you’d think this was a completely different genre until something gets severed or you get sprayed with arterial blood. Great stuff from an author that is a must-read for me.

Fourteen down… who knows how many to go!
Until the next!
